Architecture

Denmark + New Zealand

With a background as Danish architect, I’ve brought along a tradition that is focused on genuine materials, the quality of light, simple and hyggelig design, and the approach that good architecture should be affordable for everyone.

Through several years working as architectural designer at an award-winning architect in Tauranga, I’ve seen high end residential projects come to life and taken to heart the amazing opportunities the New Zealand climate and vegetation add to the built environment.

Scale + Expertise

Based in Mangonui, I develop concept designs for small commercial buildings, any type residential projects and assisting designs for Nik’s joinery projects.

In order to give you the best possible advice along the way, I work closely with a selected group of local colleagues, planning and construction specialists, and highly skilled tradespeople.

Ideas + 3D model

Architecture holds no final answer to what is right. Each project is unique and evolves from your ideas and requirements, the site specific context and our mutual communication. My role is to carefully transform these concepts into spaces that support and hopefully enhance your lifestyle and/or everyday workflow.

All projects are delivered in pdf files and a 3D model that you can explore in your own time on your smartphone, tablet or desktop. This gives you a really good feel for the proposed project so you can proceed with confidence.

Meeting + Result

To get your project started, the first step is to get hold of me via email or phone.
Next step is to gather as many ideas, notes and images of what you like, or I can show you a range of different styles, and together we’ll go though the ideas to identify which of these will support your project.

After the initial and free meeting, I’ll give you a basic project outline and estimate quote of the design. Following approval, we’ll get into further design details to bring your ideas to life in the final design.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
